Faculty members will speak at the Tsukuba Conference 2021.

IDS faculty members, Professor Takahiro Sato and Shinichi Nagata, will be speaking at the upcoming Tsukuba Conference.
The session abstract is as follows.

In order to enhance the quality of academic development, it is important for Kinesiology programs in higher education to provide culturally relevant educational services for diverse students (e.g., international students, disability, and LGBTQ). Colleges and universities should take urgent steps to prevent violence and discrimination based on racism and xenophobia that are linked to the Covid-19 pandemic. Professors must reconsider delivery of undergraduate and graduate courses so that students can learn in a socially inclusive learning environment.
In this session, presenters will discuss culturally relevant educational practices in the classroom as well as in advising student research. Our session will provide an opportunity for audiences to consider future directions of higher education in terms of college student development related to social justice and diversity.

Registration is free, so please feel free to register.
