Global Human Resource Development – Study Tour in Cambodia
As a joint initiative between the University of Tsukuba and the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya(NIFS), ‘Global human resource development study tour in Cambodia’ was conducted in March 2014.
A total of 13 participants from both universities spent 10 days in Cambodia in order to learn sport and physical education in Cambodia and the role of sport and physical education in development. The study tour included activities of meeting with the secretary general of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, meeting with undersecretary general of the ministry of education, youth and sport, meeting with general director of sport in the ministry of education, youth and sport, cultural and sport activities with the National Institute of Physical Education and Sport in Cambodia, and observing physical education lessons at primary schools.
Throughout the study tour, students had discussions on their experiences in Cambodia and lessons to learn, as a result the tour was a great learning experience on the ground.
